Split Systems / Multi-Split Systems
Split systems are popular for cooling or heating a single room or open-plan area. They consist of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit.
Multi-split systems work the same way - except one outdoor unit is connected to multiple indoor units (usually 2-5 units). Each indoor unit can be individually controlled for different rooms or zones.
